I've been a bad, bad blogger...more craziness this week has kept me from reading anything on blogger, but I definitely plan to catch up this weekend. With barely any time to read, it goes without saying that I haven't got much time to write or really post anything. I haven't done any FOTDs because I've been doing the same look for about a week - foundation, EDM Nick Nack or NARS Deep Throat blush, and Cork, Soba, and Shroom on the eyes with whatever brown eyeliner I can find first.
The weather has warmed up and now I'm really testing the limits of using primer and mineral foundation - DC weather gets humid fast, and that just means that my face starts producing more oil, so I may need to switch things up and find a way to keep that from happening during the day.
I've been using the L'Oreal Skingenesis eye serum and SPF 15 moisturizer for about 3 weeks now, and I still love both products. The moisturizer is light, and may be perfect for these muggy DC summers - my skin feels a lot smoother since I started using it. The eye serum is doing a good job of keeping the area under my eyes moisturized, but I haven't seen too much change with the dark circles...5 more weeks.
I tried using the Mario Badescu Seaweed cleanser that I got in my samples, and as much as I like how gentle it is and how it leaves my face feeling clean but moisturized, I'm not a big fan of the smell - it smells almost powdery to me, and it's really strong...I can smell it on my face well after I've dried my face off and applied day/night cream. I do, however, love their Whitening Mask - it smells fruity and clean, and my skin just glows after I use it. I definitely need to pick up more of it! I also love the Buffering Lotion - another cystic pimple was coming up in my eyebrow, so I started applying the lotion twice a day and it was gone after 3 days. Love it! I think their Anti-Acne Serum is also helping to improve my skin tone - it's light and non-irritating, and it may be helping to keep breakouts at bay.
Thanks for all the comments on my digital camera post - I guess my little Nikon is more impressive than I thought :) I'm still debating about what camera to get, and I even have a spreadsheet to keep my options in order and in one place. I'm leaning towards a Canon though...but I need to spend more time looking at other brands.
Hopefully I'll be able to update with something more substantial over the weekend...now to catch up with everyone else's posts!
