Not too shabby huh? Not so grocery store in this one...ha!!!
So I'm here to give you all some quick tips on how to get a VS-like face. Here's my "after" look
I'm not going to bore you with a list of every single product I used (but if you do want to know them all or specific ones I don't mention, feel free to post a comment and I promise to respond with an answer!).
But I am going to give you my top 3 tips for an angel face:
1. The eyes have it. Eyeliner is your friend. My trick for getting the cat eye sexy look is to start along the bottom lashline first, and line from the inner corner and pull the liner up towards the end of your eyebrow. Of course not all the way TO your actual eyebrow, let's be smart here, just use the tip end of your eyebrows as a guideline of pulling upward.
Then go to your top lashline and draw to connect to the first line. Go over your liner with a similar colored shadow to create a smokey soft look. Also use a flesh colored eyeliner and line the inside of your bottom inner rim to brighten up the whites of the eyes. And use LOTS of mascara!!
2. Highlight your features. Of course I used my favorite pressed highlighter, Too Faced Snow Bunny ($25), swiped along the following areas: tops of my cheekbones, along the bridge of my nose, and tops of my brow bones. This gives you a "halo" effect so to speak as if you're falling from the heavens!!
3. Shiny pouty mouth. Gloss gloss and more gloss. I used Maybelline's color sensational lipstick in pink petal with gobs of Clinique's long last glosswear in " guava gold" ($14). Don't mind my wet hair in this picture, kind of distracting and not pretty, so please look past;-)
So now that you have a few tricks up your sleeve go unleash your inner angel...or pretty little devil;-)
Now I know I said I can't give you tips for getting a Victoria's Secret models body, but I do have a stay skinny during the holiday season tip. This is also a great gift giving idea as well!
My girlfriend makes a concoction called "Russian Tea" every Christmas and puts the dry ingredients in a cutesy holiday tin or bucket and attaches a card with the ingredients and how to make it on the side and gives it to her girlfriends (thanks Ashley, I look forward to this yearly now!). This has become my "stay skinny holiday treat" when I am craving fattening up for the winter and want to eat everything in my pantry because I feel the need for a bit more "insulation if you know what I mean!!
I just pop a cup of hot water in the microwave then add a couple tbsps of this tea and it satisfies my need for something sweet but also packs a yummy punch (it's got orange Tang) that isn't boring and gets my taste buds going. Here's her recipe in case you want to copy- it would also be a cute gift to add an Anthropologie monogrammed mug ($6) like I have here- this is my fave cup for coffee and tea!
Russian Tea Recipe:
2 cups Tang
1/2 cup instant tea
3/4 cup Country Time Lemonade
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
Mix 2-3 tbsps into a mug of hot water and enjoy!!
Imagine that, I gave you sexy makeup tips for all your holiday parties along with a nice hostess gift idea!!
