Ok, I have a secret to confess...I love to watch "Keeping Up With the Kardashians". There - it's now out in the open. I admire how the family has built an empire from everybody's obsession with them - especially Kim Kardashian.
As you may (or may not) know, Kim just got married to NBA basketball player, Kris Humphries. I've seen and heard bits and pieces about the wedding, but I only just came across a picture of her engagement ring today. I don't think any of the pictures online do it justice. I can just imagine what that rock looks like in person!
For whatever reason, it still blows my mind that something so little can cost so much. I've mentioned before that I'm not big into diamonds, but after seeing Kim K's ring, I may have changed my mind. I even started browsing engagement rings although I already have one. Don't get me wrong - I am appreciative of what I already have, but if I did get something bigger, I'm certainly not going to turn it down! When it comes to diamonds I'm well aware that size does not matter. It's all about the love. But, hey, a girl has a right to dream a little bigger, right?
There are bloggers out there who are criticizing Kim for the size of the engagement ring - that it's too big, too much, and just over-the-top. This is the way I see it: Diamonds were made to enjoy and appreciate regardless of size or cost. Kim shouldn't deprive herself of something so beautiful because other people think it's wrong.
