I’m in Cape Town now, where it’s been a lifelong dream of mine to visit. T. and I are staying at the One&Only Cape Town, which is on the V & A Waterfront and is ALL kinds of fancy. Tonight, we had drinks at the hotel bar overlooking the water, then dinner at the hotel restaurant Reuben’s–where they were serving Thanksgiving dinner! T. and I did the “what are you thankful for?” drill. Here’s mine:
I’m thankful for financial stability. It had been a tough couple of years.
I’m thankful for Papa Jolie.
I’m thankful for getting to travel to SUCH beautiful places so frequently.
I’m thankful for readers like you (YOU!) who actually read my blog and, as a result, allow me this cool, adventurous life, as well as an outlet for my little musings.
And I’m thankful for being hopeful, optimistic, and cheerful–maybe a little foolishly so, at times–but always resilient. I’m thankful for being able to roll with the punches, be constructive with the bad, and embrace (and then some!) the good.
