Getting the Perfect Hair Cut – Rossano Ferretti Hairspa

I’ve experienced some gnarly haircuts in the past. One time I wanted Heidi Klum style bangs circa 2008, but instead of eye skimming bangs, I ended up with too short bangs that took months to grow. Another time I wanted my hair to be thinned out in the back, but I ended up with choppy layers that perplexed me. Most of the time, I usually ended up with a haircut that technically wasn’t bad, but I would have to flat iron it every single day just so it’s manageable. To me, that’s bad since I don’t like to heat style my hair!

Luckily, I have found the right salon and stylist that understands my hair and can deliver precisely what I want!  Recently I was invited to the soft opening of the Rossano Ferretti Hairspa right in Beverly Hills’ Golden Triangle. Here, the stylists practice the Metodo, a specific method created by stylist Rossano Ferretti.  The metodo focuses on creating a haircut based on the hair’s natural fall to create the most becoming and flattering style for the client.  Instead of a haircut being about the cut, it focuses on the person’s hair, their face, and even their body.  The metodo also emphasizes a thorough consultation, in which the stylist not only asks about the style of hair you’re looking for, but also asks about how your normally style and wear your hair.  This way the stylist can create a style that’ll look great without the need of a professional blow out.

As I experienced the metodo for myself last week with head stylist Michele Finessi, he explained that in order to create hair that’s full of life and movement, the stylist must move his body.  According to the metodo, when a stylist’s body remains static it creates a static and stiff cut.  I became seriously entranced watching Michele move like a dancer, pivoting his feet from right to left, and examining my hair from different angles and sides.  He was also a huge perfectionist, making sure my hair was balanced and even.

I absolutely loved the end result.  It looks and feels like a soft cascading waterfall – it’s soft, lightweight, easily manageable, and gently frames my face and pulls the focus towards my eyes.  In short, it’s the exact cut that I’ve been salon hopping hoping to find.

The Rossano Ferretti Hairspa opened on August 23 and is a great new addition to Los Angeles.  Not only do they deliver great-looking cuts, everyone at the salon is warm, relaxed, and welcoming.  Along with Shu Uemera and Kerastase products used, they also provide iPods filled with relaxing music and eye masks to use during hair treatments for that spa experience.  There is even a private room on the second floor for anyone wanting more privacy.  The best part–oh so important–there is a parking lot in the back for clients!  You read that correctly – you don’t have to worry about finding parking in Beverly Hills when visiting the hairspa!

As long as Michele and the Rossano Ferretti Hairspa are around, I can safely say so long to gnarly haircuts and salon hopping!

The Rossano Ferretti Hairspa is located on 345 N Canon Dr, Beverly Hills.  Cuts are $200 and colors start at $95.  Call 310-598-6780 for an appointment.

Thanks to bluPRint and the Rossano Ferretti Hairspa for the wonderful experience!
