Fall Makeup

Posted Nov 04 2009 10:04pm

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m definitely a summer girl – I just love the sunny season and the fun, vibrant makeup colors that come along with it. However, I’ve been really excited the new fall makeup trends this year. Here’s a rundown on some of the color palettes I’m enjoying so far:

Autumn Shadows – Shimmery golds and earthy greens are making a comeback this year. These colors look great on all skin tones and really make your eyes pop:

Trendy Kaki

•  For Fair Skin:  Lorac Eye Shadow in Olive.

•  For Medium Skin:  Givenchy Shadow Show in Trendy Kaki (pictured)

•  For Dark Skin:  Yves Saint Laurent Ombre Solo Smoothing Long-Lasting Eye Shadow in #10 Shimmering Brown  and  Smashbox Eye Shadow in Safari.

Vanilla Shadows – Creamy vanillas add a sexy shimmer to lids:

COLOR DESIGN - Sensational Effects Eye Shadow Smooth Hold

•  For Fair Skin:  Bobbi Brown Metallic Eye Shadow in Navajo

•  For Medium Skin:  L’Oréal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow in Morning Light

•  For Dark Skin:  Lancôme Colour Design Eye Shadow in Shimmer. (pictured)

Caramel Glosses – Caramel is sensuous color on the lips. To keep it from washing out the face, add a dusty pink blush:

Buxom Lips Full Color

•  For Fair Skin:   Mark Pro Gloss in Spice Epice

•  For Medium Skin:  Make Up For Ever Super Lip Gloss in Tobacco  and  Wet n’ Wild Megaslicks Lip Gloss in Sheerly Cocoa

•  For Dark Skin:  Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips Full Color in Chloe  and  Max Factor Double Lip Gloss

Brick Red Blush – This season has been all about strong lips but you can have powerful cheeks with this bold shade:

BLUSH RUSH

•  For Fair Skin:  Clinique Blushing Blush Powder in Sunset Glow  and  Smashbox Blush Rush in Heartbreak.  (pictured)

•  For Medium Skin:  N.Y.C. New York Color Smooth Mineral Loose Blush Powder with SPF 12 in Desert Rose  and M.A.C. MIneralize Blush in Merrily

•  For Dark Skin:  Black Radiance Sheer Blush in Spiced Ginger  and  Nars Blush in Dolce Vita.

Mauve Tones – Mauve shades are making a comback but these tones are richer than your typical rosy pink:

Lipstain Lipstick SPF 15

•  For Fair Skin: V incent Longo Lip Stain Lipstick in Nolita (pictured)

•  For Medium Skin:  NP Set Show Loose Dust Duo in Brazil  and  Stila Cheek Color in Clay

•  For Dark Skin:  Dior Eye Shadow Duo in 685  and  Black Opal Lipstick in Sheer Plum
