Day 05- A picture of somewhere you’ve been to.  Pagsanjan Falls, Philippines During my last visit to the Philippines, Christmas 2005It was my first Christmas in the Philippines, and the first time I had flown there completely on my own...a lot of my mom's relatives already live there, but more relatives from California and Guam had flown in as well. It was great to have so much of my family all together, playing ridiculous games like stuffing your mouth with polvoron and seeing who can whistle (messy and hilarious since polvoron is mostly flour). Before the actual holiday some of my relatives took a trip to Pagsanjan so we could see the waterfalls...we got as far as standing on the raft that the guides use to pull themselves towards the waterfall, but it was late in the day so we had to get back before dark. Day 06- A hobby you have.   I have always enjoyed making things...when I was a kid, it was a special treat for me to go to a craft store with my mom to pick out something to create. Usually I'd find one of those unfinished craft boxes/wood pieces that you could paint, and I'd take my craft paints and design something. I had a short-lived business making custom friendship bracelets in junior high (after slap bracelets were banned and we all wanted to wear something on our wrists)...collages on memory boxes, origami, and I guess more recently I made jewelry for a while. I still make jewelry, but it's hard to set up everything when you have an extremely curioius cat that loves shiny things :) |
