Credit crunch, cosmetic surgery and stress

Thursday 29th January 2009

The Yorkshire Post did an interesting feature on how cosmetic surgery has maintained its popularity despite the uncertainty in the current economic climate. Everyone’s currently tightening their purse strings but it seems that people are still saving their hard-earned cash for cosmetic procedures – and why not?!

People are working longer hours than ever before and with job cuts happening here there and everywhere, people are finding that they are being put under increasing pressure during the credit crunch, with having take on more responsibilties.

Stress, long hours, worry, late nights, lack of sleep… they are the main culprits for ill-health and premature aging, so no wonder people are trying to preserve their youth in these troubled times. With so much doom and gloom, we’d say its ok to indulge in a bit of pampering now and again if that’s what makes you happy.

One thing everyone should remember is that times like the present come full circle, so we will come out of this eventually. Right now we just have to sit tight, budget (and stick to it) and just remember the finer things in life that make us happy.

In the meantime, if you feel like you’ve aged 40 years in the last month or so, then maybe think about some of the expert anti-aging therapies that are available. Don’t worry, you don’t have to go under the knife, there are plenty of non-surgical, therapeutic treatments out there that can have fantastic skin rejuvenation effects  - in as little as 40 days!
