In the beauty world, winning a CEW Award is a huge deal and validates what has often amounted to years of research and buckets of Chanel-scented sweat and Definicils-streaked tears. This past Friday, 28 Cosmetic Executive Women 2009 Beauty Award winners were announced at the always-glamorous luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria, hosted by Mario Cantone from Sex And The City. The competition is fierce (hundreds of products vying for the proverbial crown!) so a win is a true accomplishment, indeed.

As I predicted back in July (thanks to The Lancome Blog for the reminder!), the buzzed-about buzzing mascara wand Lancome Oscillation was named Prestige Eye Product best-in-show. I was thrilled to see, too, that Living Proof Straight Making No Frizz Styling Cream was also named tops. Have you tried this stuff yet? It is amazing. Get on it.
