Chemical Peel Finally Done - Did it work?

Posted Jun 15 2009 8:52am

If you follow my wellsphere blog, you know that I have just endured the process of a chemical peel.  The chemical peel was done in order to get rid of numerous signs of aging.  Mainly, sun damage and other stuff that derived from the sun beating down on me and making my face look older.

So, here I am, the 6th day after getting the peel last Tuesday.  Did it work?  Well, I have to say YES.  My skin is now softer and much more fresh, if that makes any sense. Of course, a few of the spots that I had trouble treating on my face that only I can see (other people think they don't exist) are now gone.  I have eliminated various red spots that were under my eyes.

The peeling is 99% subsided, and my face is back to normal in that respect.  Yes, there are some flakes of skin that fall off from time to time and there is some skin on my neck that appears to have some remnants of skin hanging around.  However, I was told I can go back to my normal skin care routine and also use any skin care products I want to use for now.  It was refreshing waking up and being able to use my favorite eye serum as well as a wrinkle cream.  It's crazy how much I missed these products as they really make me feel fresh each morning when I put them on my face.

In the next few weeks, I will be reviewing a new product I started using today.  I will announce the brand in my next blog post, but I will give you a little teaser so far.  It's an area of the skin that goes untreated for the most part:  the neck and chest area.  I am now trying my luck with a neck cream that has been getting reviewed well.  You can expect some of my subsequent blog posts to have information reviewing that product.  Stay tuned!
