Cheery Eco-Friendly Guest Cottage Featured On Apartment Therapy :: Can I Vacation Here?

I'm a big fan of design blogs. There are many in my Google Reader but Apartment Therapy is at the very tip top. The photos, home tours and DIY ideas are so great for anyone looking for inspiration. Today, I stumbled onto the charming house tour of a California couple's guest cottage that was designed "to keep it as low impact and green as possible and to infuse it with their happy, bright, vintage style". I absolutely love the cheerfulness of this tiny 320 square ft space. I tend to think of white walls as a blank canvas begging for color, but in this space the white walls mixed with bright pops of color infused with a beachy preppy vibe is just perfect and entirely inviting.
This place makes me wish I could move in for a couple weeks for some much needed R+R, kick off my flip flops and the biggest decisions to make is if I should walk to the beach, ride the bike to Farmer's Market for some fresh produce, or maybe I should stay in and read a book. Hmmm...but that bed in the loft looks awful inviting...maybe a nap is in order. Ahh....decisions, decisions...
Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you're doing something relaxing and summery!!
