Kixx has a question… I’ve seen commercials for the InStyler and I’m wondering if the old adage if it looks too good to be true, it probably is applies here. Is the InStyler worth getting, or am I better off using the CHI?
Sarah Belllum says: At last a question that I can answer! It just so happens that I bought an Instyler a few months ago and I think this thing ROCKS! While Lefty and Righty normally make frowny faces whenever I bring up product reviews, they did agree to this one because the Instyler is so different from any other product that’s out there.
For those of you who haven’t been watching enough infotainment, the Instyler is a new kind of hair styler. Part curling iron, part electronic brush, it kind of looks like that what would happen if your blow dryer turned into a Transformers robot: its a Robo-curler gone mad. And I love it. (Dont take my word for it, check out the Instyler video here.)
My 5 favorite things about Instyler
Gives super style
Adds curl and curve
Easy to use
Doesn’t feel flattening or damaging like a flat iron
It does what it says it will do!
My big dislike
The bristles are not replaceable and I’m afraid they’ll wear out with heavy use. Plus this thing is expensive! (Maybe that’s why they try to get you to buy two at the same time. I suggest you do what I did and find a friend to go in with you on a little Instyler menage a deux, so you can order two and split the cost.
Sarah Bellum’s bottom line
While the Instyler isn’t for everyone, its MY new favorite cant-live-without hair gadget. If you’d like toit a try, would you please support the Beauty Brains and buy it through our affiliate program? We just had to upgrade our server to a larger capacity and this will help offset some of our costs. (Plus it will help keep Lefty stocked up medication. Trust me, that’s very important.)
What do YOU think? Are you intrigued by the Instyler informercial? Or do you think its just another BS beauty gadget? Leave a comment and share your thoughts with the rest of the Beauty Brains community.
