Reports from this weekend are that the snowfall was wet, very wet. To the point of almost rain, even at 7,000 feet. So far, so bad... in terms of snowfall for backcountry skiing.
I skipped Tahoe this weekend and heading to Moss Beach. It was rainy and foggy along the shoreline, so we decided not to road bike and instead went for a hike along the beach. Got wet, but it was fun to be outside.
Pray for snow!
At this point in the "early season" we needed the heavy, sticky base layer. Seems like the subsequent storms have been drier.
I'm keeping my eye's on the storm set to hit Wed/Thursday.
Wet snow = Sierra Cement
