I once stayed at a ski resort off-season, long after the snow had melted. I'm surprised I didn't look into this then, but I'm wondering, aside from the pool and gym that some resorts (like the one I stayed at) boast, what other physical activity might be enjoyed on or near the slopes after the skis have been stored away? Is hiking ever an option?
