My name is Savannah and I'm 24 and overweight. I'm trying to get in shape for myself, my daughter, and my husband. I never had a problem with my weight until I was about 16 years old and started working. I didn't have a lot of extra time in between work and school so I ate fast food a lot and worked out a lot less. I didn't start seeing the effects of my poor choices until I was about 18 years old. I choose to ignore the situation. Six years and seventy pounds later I'm finally realizing that instead of making excuses I need to make my actions count. I'm tired of being tired, out of energy, and just plain overweight. I often wear frumpy clothes and chalk it up to the fact that it's not because I'm overweight, but because I have a toddler and these clothes are "more comfortable." My daughter is 15 months old and I finally bought some different jeans beside maternity jeans. Not because I lost weight but because I just bought a larger size. I don't want to be super thin. I just want to be healthier and not wearing a size 20 and extra large tops and feel embarassed about myself!
