Oral antibiotics are the main treatment for all UTIs.
You can not get a urinary tract infection from someone else, although females who are just becoming sexually active often get UTIs. Sometimes Chlamydia STD can also cause a UTI.
It might be a good idea if you get lab testing screening, then you will know for sure if you are ok.

This guy I've been seeing has recently revealed to me that we cannoy have sex because he has a UTI, however my issue is that he claims to have contracted it from another female. I appreciate his honesty and the fact that he would not willingly try to harm me but, I cannot help but be pissed because I feel he is playing with my intelligence and really he has an STD and chose thehalf truth over the whole truth. Can someone please respond Is that possible??? I don't think it is but would like to be sure before I confront him.
