Hello,

I hope your brother is doing well. I cannot tell you how long it will take his medication to work, but in general, antipsychotics take a few weeks, and sometimes several months to be fully effective. The key is to continue taking the medication, even if results are not immediately apparent. With some meds, results are much more immediate. It depends on the medication, and on the person's body as to how quickly they will take effect.
