The fall running season is finally here (well at least for now... this is Texas afterall). The weather was nice (non-humid and slightly breezy) and it created a good backdrop for adding another mile to the regime. Since I have a 5K coming up, it's only appropriate to see if I can run the obligatory 3 miles.
To answer a previous question, I do a training program loosely based on running 3 times a week. Right now, it's running 2 miles at an average pace, speed running and walking for 2 miles and then doing a long run of 3 miles. Each week, you add a mile and eventually you get to your goal. :)
I'm not expecting any grand results for my upcoming race. If I can finish with a pace between 11 and 12 minutes a mile, that would be great. I can't wait for my post-workout treatment: a pedicure.
