WOW! FIRST DAY OF WORKING OUT AT A GYM IN 25 YEARS!

Today, Ray and I bit the bullet and headed off to WOW Fitness for a session with a trainer. The last time I worked out in a gym (other than the one in my basement), was approximately 25 years ago! It was my idea to join a gym, and thanks to a wonderful friend from church.....we have a 3 months free membership at WOW! I've been bothering Ray a bit about going, and we have put it off for various reasons, but we made the appointment for this morning and resigned ourselves to the fact that we HAD to....JUST DO IT!!
I KNOW that I said it was MY idea to do this.....but I thought Ray was going to have to drag me out the door for this session!! I used to lift a lot of weights and do a lot of cross training, but in recent years.....it's pretty much been running and walking for me, so this was a little daunting! Actually, what was a little daunting, was the fact that I feel so OLD and out of shape and I knew that there would be a lot of young, fit people there!
It really wasn't too bad, once we got started. It wasn't even the working out that intimidated me so....just doing it in a public place! Probably the hardest thing about the morning was getting on the scales in front of this really fit trainer! UGH! 165 pounds? HOW did THAT happen?? Oh, and that body fat reality check was pretty awesome too (NOT!).. Okay, so I KNOW how it happened, and now, it's time to DO something about it!

I am really psyched about getting in shape!

THIS OLD USED CAR IS STILL RUNNING AND IS ABOUT TO GET A MAJOR TUNE-UP!!
I intend to send this guy an "after" picture of myself! Maybe crossing the finish line of the BOSTON MARATHON?!!
