Wingardium Leviosa!

Posted Nov 13 2012 8:12am

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday-in case you weren’t 100% sure of whether or not I suck, now you know.

Since I know you’re all DYING to hear about Harry Potter world, let me show you some of the highlights!

After leaving my co-workers to run to the park  10 minutes ahead of everyone (this really happened) I demanded we find butterbeer the second the rest of them finally waltzed in.

I went for the frozen once since the regular cold one had caffeine in it and was 9:00 PM.  This thing was SO sweet it hurt my teeth. Granted, I don’t eat a lot of sugar but this drink was so super sweet I could only have about three sips and nobody else wanted it after (probably because I drank out of it). Still worth every penny and I of course would get it again if I ever go back. Someone else got Pumpkin Juice which was pretty good since it basically tasted like apple cider.

SO, we started in Hogsmeade:

Made a quick stop at Zonko’s and where I found some fun prizes:

Next up was Ollivander’s wand shop. I’m still p-oed I didn’t get selected to be apart of the wand ceremony but whatever, I guess a 13 year old kid who’s birthday happened to be that day is more important than me. I’m not bitter or anything.  Anyway-I bought a wand! After spending entirely too long debating who’s wand to buy,I decided on my favorite character in the book, Bellatrix.

While we were waiting in line for an awesome ‘fly with Harry Potter” virtual ride, the sorting hat made an appearance:

But sadly Hogwarts was NOT muggle friendly. Luckily, I’m a wizard so I was in the clear.

As you can see, I had a ton of fun and totes geeked out the entire time.  It was so super exciting and definitely something all Harry Potter fans should visit at some point in their life. I don’t know if I would ever go back since returning would also involve long lines and screaming children but I am beyond happy I got the opportunity to attend.

Off to apparate to work!

That’s all the nonsense I have for now!
