when i go running i always seem to have a strain lust left of my groin, a groin stretch or abductor stretch does not get rid of

Perhaps you're doing too much, too soon. Try cutting your runs in half and be sure you do them at a comfortable pace such that you could talk with a buddy. Your body needs 48 hyours to recover from a stressful run, so on the second day just do light cross training, such as shorter runs, slower runs, easy swimming, easy cycling, or a day of rest.
