My Daughter ran cross country this fall and was very sucessful, but after each race she was white as a ghost and would get sick, and be just horribly tired. It appeared she just did not get enough oxygen. Now she is in basketball and still having trouble breathing when she is just running sprints. She is in excellent condition and loves to play.
It sounds like she isn't ready for that fast of a sprint.
Here are some basic ideas for speed training. Her coach can guide her in speed training so she will be better able to handle the sprints in her races and games.
