Hope you’re having a great weekend! We had a last minute surprise visit from my brother-in-law, so we’re enjoying some time with him this weekend.
It was another week of sweaty, humid runs and I am starting to count down the two weeks until we get a break from Texas heat! Leaving in July certainly makes the move a little less bitter and a little more sweet.
I’m still base building, here was my week:
Sunday: 50 minute easy spin + arms/core
Monday: 8 “tempo” in the heat, averaging 7:40 pace, with one mile at 7:10
Tuesday: pm spin + arms
Wednesday: 6 mile run (ave pace 7:50) + squats/lunges
Thursday: 6 mile slow run
Friday: 10 mile run in 1:22
Saturday: taught 1 hour spin + arms/core
I got some fun mail this week: my health coaching brochures are done!
It’s been exciting to create work that I love by combining all of my passions- health, counseling, running, coaching, blogging, and still mom-ming. I love bringing the many different sides of me together in this job.
I also found a package in the mail this week from Fuze tea. I’ve never had it before, but I have been loving unsweetened iced tea this summer. Most weeks I make my own, but it’s nice to have someone else prepare it for you sometimes. They have a variety of flavors that combine tea and fruit with Vitamins B6 and B12. The fruit teas are a bit too sweet for me, but my husband loved them! Here’s a bit more from the company:
FUZE is a refreshing combination of Iced tea, natural fruit flavors and vitamins B6 and B12. It’s a perfect mix of ingredients, just like you. FUZE. Never just one thing.
I’m glad to be back to menu planning this week. I found myself stressed out mid-week trying to decide last minute what to make for dinner. “Cleaning out the cabinets” wasn’t specific enough, unfortunately!
