Each week the Pro (Scott) and the Joe (Coach Jerry) will provide some commentary about our training schedule’s upcoming week. Look for this to be posted on Sunday’s so you can have some time to review and ask any questions. Keep in mind that this week we are a few days behind because of the July 4th holiday.
Pro: During the Wednesday workouts your recovery should never include any walking! KEEP MOVING!
Joe: Since we are the beginning of marathon training this is the time to start to set good training habits. What you practice now will help you train consistently especially as the miles build in the later weeks. For this week concentrate on stretching both pre and post workout. Creating a simple stretching routine will help you carry this along with you the entire 14 week schedule; I sometimes get bored with it but what you practice now will be with you on marathon race day and will be familiar. Also, treat every training day like a workout, like the Pro says above, keep moving.
