It was freezing cold here in Minneapolis on Tuesday. It was something like -8 F. so could in face my sports drink froze in my car. Being resourceful I cranked up my seat warmer and sat on the bottle. It helped a little but not much. I was feeling pretty good and ended up running 5 miles in about 47:30. Not an outstanding time by any means, but a much faster pace than I have been running in the past and I think a faster pace than I ran in the dreadful Twin City 10 miles where I was just trying to finish coming off my back injury. So post injury 5 mile time I'm pretty happy with. While I was running around and around the dome. I thought I saw Steve from world Blog famous Steve in a Speedo. I didn't want to bother him while he was running, but we happened to finish at the same time and during my cool down I walked over and said hello. He was very nice and talked to me about his interval training and his preparation for an upcoming indoor track meet. Good Luck Steve. He also pointed other people running around the dome that were also running bloggers. I thought that was pretty cool to put faces to blog names. Back to my sports drink. After running it was still frozen. Traffic was tough to get home so it took over an hour and with seat warming, shaking, it was still frozen by the time I got home. That is cold. I'm going back on Thursday night to try again.
