The boys are out for the summer! Let the 98 days of summer begin!
With the boys out of school I have to get a little more creative with my workouts. I try to dedicate less time to working out and more time with the boys. So instead of my usual 2 hours (1 hour running/1 hour weights), I am trying out some new 1 hour workouts. Intervals and circuits are the way to go here!
Here is the treadmill workout I put together:
It has a gradual increase in pace to warm up, moving to some all out sprinting, followed by active recovery. It will work up a sweat!
After the run on the treadmill, I tried this Interval Circuit I put together for my brother. It is an all over cardio-strength circuit sure to make you sweat!
Although I was already warmed up from the run I went ahead and hit the warm-up; trying to get my squats in for the 30-day Challenge .
After the warm-up, perform each circuit with no rest in between exercises. After you complete the circuit, rest one minute, drink some water, towel yourself off and get ready for another set! Perform each set 3 times!
Keeping pushing, it’s a tough one; earn your recovery but do not forget your form! If your form starts to falter take a step back, catch your breath, then continue on.
I hope you love/hate this workout as much as I did. Now to test it on my brother!
