This morning I ventured out to the track to do my first interval session since prior to Philly. Last Friday's tempo run , while not great, was a good sign that my fitness hadn't completely disappeared for the short time I was relegated to pool running or very short runs. This morning was another test. Coach had 2-3 sets of 1600/800's on the menu for us . I was going to head into them by feel, and not worry about the time, since I had taken some time off. I felt great. I made it through 2 sets and still felt good. While my 800's weren't spectacular, the 1600's felt great. My 2nd 1600 was probably one of my fastest since Spring. Coach shut me down though, since it was my first workout in awhile, he felt there was no need to push it. I went home and took Dash out until I hit my 10 miles for the day. These are all good signs that maybe I can still redeem what's left of the fall, I feel like I am okay! Next up: ARMY TEN MILER . Who knows? A Fierce Warrior might just show up.
