Thursday: Toe Cramps - Recovery Run

This morning I had aspirations to make some grits, have a little sausage, and take down a huge glass of milk. I woke up with plenty of time to make the breakfast but I hit snooze on the clock and got another hour of sleep. On my way out of the house I grabbed a V8 and a cereal bar and that seemed to cure the hunger pains that kicked in about 20 minutes after I woke up.

No sore legs this morning but last night I went to bed battling some cramping toes. Need to make sure that I am getting enough sodium/potassium. I do that during races, might as well keep the levels up while training this hard. Not to worry, the V8 sodium bomb did the trick. Oh and I have a HUGE jar of pickles with my name on them.

Run Summary:
The run was fairly easy. My pace was somewhere around 7:45-7:50 and I felt like I could have easily picked it up the entire time. That's a good thing. My legs were a little tired at first. They were a couple of twigs feeling more like tree trunks. That feeling was gone after the first mile and the next 30 minutes I worked on my form, turn over rate, and well, breathing I guess.

Tomorrow is a rest day and I am looking forward to that. I will still blog and maybe try to come up with some motivation for Saturday's long run. I am still a little weary of the Long Run. Nothing I'm a stranger to, but it has been a while since we've been together and I'm hoping my legs behave themselves.
