Health knowledge made personal
 I have to say the last couple weeks have been really hard at work. If any ones ever tells you making video games is a fun easy job. They are either new or lying. Its hard work just like any other job. Not being able to run or workout has really impacted my ability to relieve any of the stress. With the snow storm everyone was worried about traffic and leaving early from work. I had enough work so I stayed until after 6:00 pm. My son was sick so I didn't have to worry about picking him up from Karate. My schedule called for a 5 mile tempo run including warm up and cool down. They wanted 3 miles at 8:49, but I settled for 1.5 mile warm up, 1 mile at 8:41, 1 mile at 11:00, 1 mile at 8:41 and them 11 minute half mile cool down. The fast parts were a little hard, but I stuck to it. After I was done. I was pretty happy. I worked hard all week, and then took some time for myself to get a run in and not feel rushed. I was actually happy for the first time in a long time. It was a great release to be able to get that run in and let some of the stress flow through me and then out. I love those runs. Downtown was pretty with the snow and not much traffic. Even though it still took me an hour to get home since there were still some slick conditions and spinouts.  Leaving the Target Center they had pictures for Britney Spears upcoming concert. I thought it would be funny to take a picture with it. The lighting didn't come out well but I still think its pretty funny. If she can make a come back so can I. Talk about photoshop work. :-) Britney not me. I have to learn to smile more. |
