Thur Run and Sat Race

I did my second big run of the week. This was another heart rate monitor. This workout was just two Zones, but the were higher heart rate speed and for a longer time 48 minutes. It wasn't really an issue until I got to about the 30 min mark. I had problems bringing my heart rate down into Zone 1. I should have slowed my pace, but I didn't. This is my whole run hard over running in the right zone mentality I still need to get over.  I had to laugh I was feeling good about the run. 5 miles, pretty good time, then I saw myself in them mirror.  I was a big ball of sweat and not that appealing to look at and smell. Felt like the baboon in the picture. Nice dose of reality. Well at least I'm running, eating better. Just not losing the weight as fast as I had in the past. 

I have the Frozen 5K tomorrow. It's supposed to be -5 at race time. I might need to pick up a couple things to stay warm tomorrow. I will send out a report after the race.
