This post was originally published on June 16. In June of 2012, for the first time in my fitness life, I had spent the previous few months doing some serious weight training. You can imagine my shock when I discovered that heavy weight training made me a faster runner. Before this time I had shied away from weight training, as I didn't want it to interfere with my running. Boy, was I wrong.
This post discusses weight training and some of the other important things that I did to improve my comfortable running pace by a minute and a half per mile. I hope you will click over and check it out.
