1. Our first vacation as a married couple: David and I went on a cruise to Key West, Cozumel and Belize. If it weren't for the hurricanes, and all the tourists, I would love to live in Key West. Gorgeous weather. Laid back vibe. No open container laws. Awesomeness.
At the steak house on board. Fact: I gained 7lbs on that honeymoon.
I love a view.
Musterdrill self portrait. Please note the stateroom decorations by Royal Caribbean in the background. Fancy!
2. Our First Vacation with Jacob: We went up to Cape Cod when Jacob was 9 months old. I'm more of a tropical vacation lover, but I might have fallen in love with New England on this trip, especially Martha's Vineyard. Apparently, I love island living. Which is good, because I live on an island. A very lawng eyelan. View right outside our little cottage, right on the bay off the Nantucket Sound. We broke up the trip with a stop over in Mystic CT. That aquarium is awesome! I never got the hang of that Moby wrap.
3. Our upcoming vacation as a family of 4 Lake George! We are staying right on the lake (yay!) which is great because Jacob keeps asking to go to the beach every time we get in the car. And I can't keep that kid out of the sandbox at the park (yick.) I'm a little intimidate by the prospect of driving 4+ hours with Leah, but I keep reminding myself we drove with Jacob to South Carolina when he was about the same age and it ended up being okay.
Speaking of travel, I'm headed to NJ today for the Verizon Wireless Corporate Classic 5k! I'm just treating it as a workout since there it's a HUGE race. I've never done a 5k with 3,500 runners! What's the farthest you've traveled to race? Where would you LOVE to go to race? Happy Thursday!
