9:39 pace in 20 degree weather is okay by me!
Maybe because I had two back to back "feel good" runs - where I felt strong, rode that endorphin high, and like my legs were loving the miles. Maybe because I have real goals, but don't feel pressure if they don't happen. Maybe because I'm already signed up for 8 races. (Yes, me the gal who said she was going to pick quality over quantity...but all of these races are quality). Maybe because I am conquering a race with my running partner in crime in March. It's so simple, but I love it. I think it's a good reminder to be bold and strong in our decisions, in taking on challenges, and when trying new things. I love the idea of using my head alongside my heart - making decisions that are smart, but meaningful. That's truly how I want to embody this year. Without fear of the unknown, without fear of failure, without worry of what I'm doing. I'll be bold in my decisions and actions. I'll be strong both physically and mentally. And no matter what, I'll be smart, but my heart will always be in all that I do because if you aren't doing the things you love, why do them?
So, that's why it's going to be my year, because I've decided it will be and isn't mindset the first step into making things the way you want them to be?
