Organize the New York City Marathon and you get a 5,000-word profile in the New York Times. But who notices that unnamed, yet inspired genius at the Bolingbrook Park District in Illinois who put together today’s Brew Dash ?
The race covered the nine-hole, 2205-yard Boughton Ridge Golf Course, with each hole having an aid station with samples of craft and seasonal beers. And they only charged $10 for the race!
The post-race party included a pie baking contest, more beers, pretzels, German potato salad, brats, pork chops on a stick (!) and live music by the Bratwurst Brothers , no doubt featuring their smash hit “ I Like Beer .”
