I noticed last week that there was a lot more water in the Jordan River. The higher water is still in the river. I would estimate that the water-level has risen about 2 feetbased on some dead branches that are in the water. These are the branches that the Heron was standing by when I took a picture of the Heron several months ago. The water-flow in the river is controlled by a pumping station at the place in Utah Lake where water flows into the Jordan River. It's too early for the Spring runoff of water from the mountains. My guess is that the decision makers want to lower the water in the lake to make room for more water when the runoff begins in a couple of months.
