Mothers teach their daughters many things. One lesson I am so grateful that my mother taught me was how to bake. My mom is hands-down, the best cook I know. It took me years to learn just a few of her tricks. Thankfully, she always gave me the confidence to try out any recipe. I am so happy I tried out this one.
All my life, my mom has made pecan tarts -bite-sized little pieces of heaven. For a long time, I didn’t have a mini muffin pan; so these maple pecan bars are my version of her pecan tarts.
They have a buttery crust that serves as the backdrop for sweet pecans with just the right amount of maple hint. These bars can be cut into the size that your heart desires. After one bite, my guess is that you will wish you would have cut them bigger.
Perfect for a holiday party or just a sweet treat at home, these are sure to make you (and your tummy) smile.
