This morning I spent sometime working in excel. I am trying make a spreadsheet that will tell me my total miles I am running and cycling and what my average pace is; by day, week, month and year. I hope it works out!
I did not get out on my bike ride until one o’clock today. Having to cut the ride short; I biked 11.31 miles at an average pace of 4:02.
Today I tackled the pool as well. I ended up swimming .625 miles in 20 minutes. It has been a while since I hopped in the pool. I am hoping it will only take a month to get my mile back under 27 minutes.
The boys swim coach offered me a spot on the team. There are three other “master” swimmers on the team. I obviously will not compete but I will be doing the workouts the boys do. Unfortunately I will not be able to get away with swimming only freestyle. I just hope my butterfly does not make me look like a drowning victim!
I am seriously considering this option. I feel swimming made me a better runner. When I cross train with swimming I am able to breathe more efficiently. Also if I can tweak my technique I should drop my swim times in the Mullet Man Triathlon in April.
This week I have two run dates! Greg is going to join me tomorrow for a quick 7.5 miles and friend Anna is going to run 7 miles with me on Wednesday. I am super excited about both runs.
