Let's start from the beginning. Chris and I decided to fly out to visit with his brother and wife. My parents drove the kids to Steamboat. (Yes they are awesome and thank goodness for kindle fire's, ds, ipods and laptops! 26 hours is a long way with a 10, 8 and 6 year old!) We are about an hour into our 2 1/2 hour flight when we start to descend. OK this is weird. The flight attendant moves a pilot that is hitching a ride to the emergency exit, then runs to the front of the plane and straps herself in. The pilot gets over the PA system and tells us not to be alarmed, but emergency vehicles will meet us out on the runway and we are going to circle around to burn off fuel. YIKES! True to his word about 9 fire trucks follow us in. We land safely to find out the cockpit had a fire and our pilots had to wear oxygen mask.
The boys did awesome the whole trip. They were hard to keep up with once they got their confidence back!
Outside of our condo there was a huge hill. The boys had a blast snow ball fighting!
What a wonderful trip, but we were glad to be home to our 60 degree February weather!
