I made a BBQ Glazed Chicken with the sauce! Yum-o!
As a 30 to 30 project I wanted to make my own BBQ Sauce . I remember making one in Culinary School.. It was a group project & we made a really elaborate, ridiculously tedious recipe . I’m not kidding — I think we used every spice & condiment in that kitchen. This time around, it was fun! I enjoyed every minute of it. Also, it was so much more simple of a recipe.. Partially because I decided to make a thinner sauce rather than your traditional thick BBQ sauce . I almost feel bad saying I accomplished something on my 30 to 30 list, because it was SO easy.
I went through a few ton of my cook books, food magazines & compiled a list of the key ingredients that seemed to be in all the recipes, then improvised on all the rest & decided, since I had just received a wine- gift basket a few days before… to add some Cabernet . A dry, bold, spicy red wine !
