Since moving to Southern California 1 year ago I've become addicted to trail running. I rarely run on the road anymore. I have overcome my fear of running into a snake - and for the most part my fear of running into a mountain lion. After all, trail running is probably no more hazardous than driving on Southern California freeways :) I'm not going to let a few "what if's" ruin my fun!
I have decided to start a trail blog. I'm going to but the thin and cool casio camera as pictured on the left. From there I am going to set out on my task of documenting Southern California trails. There are a lot of them so it's going to take some time. I plan to put everything together with pictures, trail descriptions, profiles, etc. I have not found anything nearly this useful in all my searching.
So here is my first entry. I have nothing too interesting to post. My first "BIG" trail race is going to be in Northern Califronia in July. I plan on running the Angel Island 50K. There are some other trail runs I will tackle along the way, some shorter - and one maybe longer. I'll keep that a secret for now, but I may tackle a 35 mile trail race later in the year.
I hope you enjoy my blog. Now get out and enjoy some trails wherever you are!
