saturday snippets

Posted Nov 16 2013 4:23pm
Hi there! Hope your saturday is going well.  I'm well overdue for a real post, so since I"m running  Kona chocolate run  tomorrow, I figured I'd do a more real post today before putting up another recap. I'll be doing the 10k and it's the last race on my docket for a long time (at least in theory). Next semester, I'm being a crazy person and taking a Saturday morning lab class. Suffice it to say, I obviously can't do any saturday races and I'll probably be using Sunday mornings to catch up on sleep. I still definitely plan on running, I'll just be racing myself ;)

This is the first saturday in a while that we could just sleep in and kind of relax. Gizmo desperately needed his nails clipped, so we took him to Petsmart and may have also gotten him a whole slew of new toys and treats while there
See how happy he is? He needed these toys ;)

It was the cutest thing, there was a little boy (probably about 2) that squealed in delight every time he saw Gizmo. Ryan told me that the 2 year old and I react the same way when we see cute dogs. That may or may not be true ;)
After dropping over Gizzy, we ran some errands, picked up my race stuff (LOVE the 1/4 zip, but I'll show it to you tomorrow), and grabbed lunch at Noodles and Co. I hadn't been there in forever and Ryan said he recently tried the Japanese pan noodles while out to lunch with his boss and loved it. I opted to try it with shrimp and it was pretty darn amazing: School is crazy these days and I'm ready for a small break. It's still going well, but 11 credits is tough to juggle. Regardless, I'm still loving it, even through the madness. While most of the time I'm reading for class, I sped read Gone Girl finally. I loved it and hated it. It was just so insane I couldn't stop reading. Has anyone else read it? Have you read her other books? Worth a read? If you haven't read it, it's worth a read. Even if you don't like the way it ends (which I'm not sure I do), it will be different than other books you've read. Or at least, it was for me.
Finally, I want to leave you with this gem: yep, sounds like heaven to me ;)
Questions for you:
-Anyone else racing this weekend or are you done for the year?
-Rented/seen any good movies recently (i.e. on Netflix)?
-Love or hate Noodles and co? If you love, what's your fav meal there?
-Did you read Gone Girl or any of her other books? Thoughts?

Have a great weekend!!
