Running Tips - Motivation

Bad run v. no run. A bad run is better than no run at all. Don't get down if you're feeling slow or sluggish.
Find a buddy. Find a running buddy. It is much harder to skip a Run When you have someone else depending on you.
Focus on #1. Don't compare yourself to others, running is about achieving your own objectives.
Focus on the breath. When you're struggling, push through by focusing on your breath. Try to stay as relaxed as possible.
It gets easier. Don't worry, it gets easier. The more you run, the easier it gets.
It's never too late. It's never too late to start running.
Join a running club. Join a local running club so you always have people to run with.
Log it. keep a running journal
Sign up for a race. Sign up for a race as soon as you feel ready, It will keep you motivated.
Stay close. Pick a running route that's convenient and close to home, so you won't have excuses not to run.
Weight loss is a process. If you're trying to lose weight, don't get discouraged if you don't lose weight right away.
