Running playlists & great music

Posted Nov 04 2009 10:03pm

I HAVE NO HEADACHE!!!  I woke up without feeling like I was going to puke and the hammer sensation has remained at bay.  Let’s quickly all cross our fingers that this isn’t a sadistic fluke of fate.  I definitely bounded (or rather, tripped) out of bed this morning to take advantage of this glorious-ness that is known as no migraine and got in a beautifully imperfect but definitely worthwhile workout.  Whew, 10 mins. here and there just was not cutting it.

On a musical note, the new run playlist I put together for myself a while ago is terrible.  I have decided I just don’t have the intuition to figure out what I will want to listen to while running.  If anyone has any clue as to how to structure one that’d be a post I’d read, for sure. (that was a not so subtle hint hint, nudge nudge suggestion fellow bloggers.)  Thank goodness for the shuffle option!

A song that came on was actually awesome to run to and I hadn’t heard it in a while which is a bonus.  It actually had me laughing because while it’s about a crumbling relationship it had a  completely great line for a running mantra that I will certainly test out: “Swallow my doubt, turn it inside out” If you haven’t already figured it out, I present to you: Eve 6 – Inside Out

In other music news, the new Dave Matthews Band CD, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, is absolutely fantastic.  This is the single out of the radio right now:

Also, if you are a grunge/rock fan such as myself and haven’t picked up Pearl Jam’s re-release of Ten you better do so now because it is phenomenal and Pearl Jam is the best.  (fyi: they are releasing a brand new album soon, I cannot wait!)

I conclude this post by saying I should have been born a few years earlier than I was.  I hope you all had a great (headache free) day!
