My PB for winter temperature during the 17 years I lived in Massachusetts was -18 degrees F. A "rule" for dressing for winter running is to dress for temperatures 15 or 20 degrees warmer than it actually is. This will allow for your body to warm up without overheating. Of course, you'll feel cold during the first mile :)

Running in the Winter

Bundle up it's cold outdoors, but keep on running. Some of my best runs have been in super cold weather. Steamy breath, silence -- quite everywhere -- just hearing myself breathe while my feet hit the pavement.
