Braedon and I were in Michigan for three full days, and I was able to enjoy a run each morning. I find it refreshing to have a change of scenery to break the monotony of the regular running routes.
Living in Maryland, I rarely see snowmobile crossing signs anymore and it amused me to think that, as the sign might have one believe, a snowmobile could cross the road at any moment.
Running near the Days River, I saw this doe. The deer seem to be darker in Michigan than in Maryland, but it might also be that the sun doesn’t shine so much in October, making everything look a little drearier – but do I ever love overcast fall days.
These turkeys were a bit concerned with how close I was, and headed for the shelter of the tree line.
It snowed on Saturday, and the wind was brutal, but the sights during this run more than made up for the cold I felt.
