Run, Run, Run

Posted Nov 04 2009 10:03pm

Yes, I am listening to The Velvet Underground.

But my time is seriously running by! I cannot believe I have so much planned when the day starts and by the time I sit down to actually do something it is already 20:00. Stinks! I was planning to finish some things up for my thesis but there really is no time!

I had an awesome run this morning! A tad harder to get out of bed (mainly out of fear of the cold) but once I brushed my teeth I was all hyped up and ready.

After my amazing drills (I should post a video with them, shouldn’t I ;) ) I grabbed a handful of cereals and headed outside. Which made me realize I desperately need some new tunes. The Pussycat Dolls dominate my playlist, which is fine with me, but there is a desperate motivation call for new stuff.

I did the exact same routine like I did yesterday. I am just concerned about the Ten-Percent-Rule. I need to sum up this week’s kilometers and compare them with last week’s so that I don’t cause an injury.

Here are my stats:

Running Time

Average HR

Highest HR

39 minutes167 BPM176 BPM

My parents are a little concerned with my runs, especially since they are at 5:30 AM and it is night-dark outside. I have a nice neighborhood but I can definitely see their point. I wish pepper spray was on sale in Europe.

Unbelievable, but I found an amazing online Kosher grocery store here in Prague. They deliver products all the way from France, Italy and Israel. A little pricey, but amazing! Guess what I can order?

That’s right – EGG WHITES!!!

I have seen them all over the US-based blogs and was always annoyed that I could not get them at two separate “world zones” – Middle East and European Union. Well, I guess England does have them but I don’t travel there that often ;)

To my surprise the box has German on it which means it has to be available at German supermarkets. I go to Real which is one of the largest chains in Eastern Germany but have never seen it before! Maybe I need to look carefully next time I am there.

We also got Cucumbers in Brine!!

Guys, you have NO idea how bad I miss these guys! Czechs ONLY produce cucumbers in vinegar and ewww they are SO gross! I mean, occasionally I miss the texture so badly (especially when I eat hummus) so I will grab one or two but this is the REAL stuff!

Their site is quite extensive, so I will surely be ordering more things from there. We are also going for a Gefilte Fish tasting tomorrow so that we can order these for the Seder!

So today was the final day!

I used random.org to generate a winner out of the 7 entries I received:

And so the winner is SARA of Fit Feet! Please send me an e-mail to therunningaddict@gmail.com with your details and I will pass it on to the kind benefactor! Also, please be so kind and guest star on my blog and do a review for it!

Thanks for those of you who participated! I hope I will get to do some more of these!
