Run 1, Week 10 (BOHR): Running In A Winter Wonderland!

It was around 30 degrees outside & snowing when I went for a run today at 3:50 pm. It look me 38-39 minutes to complete 4 laps. While it's a much slower pace than I normally do, I was just happy to finish my run without any knee pain! ;-) I took 2 Ibuprofen before running & only felt a very slight throbbing sensation in my left knee for about a minute afterward my run. The sensation went away shortly thereafter.

I know there are a lot of people who grumble about the idea of running outside in the snow, but I actually think it's great fun! I'd much rather run outside in the snow versus indoors on a treadmill or stairstepper. Plus, the extra few inches of snow act as a cushion for the knees, which is actually a really good thing, especially for me right now! (It's similar to running on the grass, except you've got less traction in the snow.)

Next up is a mini-post about my strength training session, which I did immediately after tonight's run.....
