Racing Virgin

Posted Dec 18 2010 12:00am
Compared to most runners (especially those with blogs, I'm a racing virgin).  I've done two 5ks (one of which didn't count because I walked a good portion of it and had no concept of time, nor did I care) and a 10k.  The second 5k, my d-chip didn't work, so my time wasn't even recorded (ughhh), so I feel as though it almost doesn't count.  All other races?  I'm a virgin - we're strictly on a first name basis.  I'm taking it slooooow with them.

Except, I'm already signed up for the 100th annual Bay to Breakers 12k in San Francisco!!!  It's May 15th and I can't wait!!  You can find the link HERE: http://baytobreakers.com/ .

Anywho, I don't have sweet race photos like most.  In fact, my first photos will most likely be staged, but no worries, I have plenty of time to get lots of photos!

Instead, I'll leave you with a picture of my dog, Gizmo, wearing my under armour winter headband.  It's an outdoor running must for me (especially in Michigan - eek, cold!)  In fact, I LOVE to wear all under armour apparel when running outdoors.  I have yet to find a better brand than their coldgear line.   If anyone knows of a brand, (wants to share their opinion in the comments section) let me know!
I'll leave you with these questions
What's your favorite outdoor running apparel/accessories brand in the winter?

Have any cute pics of your pets in sporting apparel?  Send it my way!  I'd love to see it!!

And here's Gizmo!

if you say he's ugly, may as well leave now :)
