It's been a while since I've posted. In the last few weeks, I've been trying to explore Minnesota's State Parks. I have a goal to reach all of them. So far, I think I've hit about 20 and I will have five more under my belt by the end of next week. I have most of the north shore and all the way up 35 done and most of the southern part done (around Faribault). I am not real excited about going to the Northwest or the Southwest for that matter. I've heard the Southwestern part of the state referred to as the "armpit of Minnesota" numerous times. I've been to Marshall and a few other small towns. I didn't think they were that bad - very agricultural though! I'm pretty excited to check out the other parks though. I am hoping to make it to Afton sometime this weekend too. As far as exercise, I've been doing a little hiking but I am swimming and biking a lot. Tonight, I biked out to the Chaska community golf course. It was so pretty. I was supposed to do the Urban Wildlife half marathon last weekend but I decided my body needed a break. A few people I know ran it and it sounded like it was a very pretty course. I may have to sign up and actually do it next year! So, August is the first month I've had since May without anything to train for. I kind of like it! But, I'm going to start running again to get ready for the Twin Cities ten miler. Well I'm going to put in a few pictures I also took while I was down in Faribault a few weeks ago on my way to Rice Lake State Park. Next post, I'll try to put some of my photos from Lifetime, Grandma's Half and the Buffalo Tri. OKay, I lied, I'm going to post the pictures tomorrow night - the server is super slow tonight!
