Halfway through my Aliso and Wood Canyons run this morning.Yes,
hip. Specifically, my left one.
I noticed a bit of pain on a recent run but today, during a 20-21 miler in Aliso and Wood Canyons, it started hurting pretty bad at around mile 10. It particularly hurt going uphill.
Hmm...
The pain didn't stop me from getting in my 20-plus miles heck no!), but I'm a bit concerned. Maybe I need new shoes. Maybe I need to stretch. Maybe I'm just getting old.
I have been injury free for months, so we'll see what happens.
As for the run itself, it was fab -- the first cloud cover in weeks!
Alexa and
John joined me for a few miles, and I saw
Keira and
Pam in their car leaving, at Top of the World. They had run a different route.
I probably would have done 30 miles had my hip not suddenly become totally unhip.
Ah well, I am reminded of wise words: Listen to your body.
And try to stay hip.
